Swanage Regatta and Carnival

Swanage Regatta and Carnival is the premier carnival on the South Coast!

For one week at the end of July and the beginning of August, Swanage will be radiating to the sound, fun and excitement of the annual Regatta & Carnival, the South Coast’s Premier event.

This ‘must do’ attraction has so much to offer everyone, from the magnificent two mile carnival procession, vibrant with dance, sound and colour, to the beat of live bands playing on the Main Stage and in the carnival marquee.

Three amazing firework displays, art competitions for children and adults, talent show, treasure hunts, dog show, parachute jumps, and all the water and land sports, and not to be missed, the amazing Red Arrows, about one hundred events in total and far too many to list here.

Open Day - Alcyone, Shore Road, Saturday 20th July 2013

Arlington & Hall are pleased to present this beautiful development in Shore Road, Sandbanks, overlooking Poole Harbour and adjacent to the beautiful Blue Flag sandy beaches.

The property is ultra-contemporary and superbly finished, with a sumptuous interior and gorgeous views.
The internal living space flows seamlessly out onto an expansive wrap-around roof terrace.

Fringed by three miles of golden sands and coveting the international Blue Flag for the past 22 years, with five sought after yacht clubs and one of the finest windsurfing areas in Europe, Sandbanks truly provides the dream location for watersports, family fun or just relaxing by the sea. The nearby A31 gives easy access to the M27 and M3. The local town centres of Bournemouth and Poole can be found within five miles, and London is only approximately one-and-a-half hours away.

We'll be down on Saturday 20th July (tomorrow) between 11am-3pm. Come down and say hello!

Harbour Haze and the Range Rover Evoque Special Edition...

Harbour Haze, on Salterns Way in Lilliput, served as a beautiful backdrop to photograph the first ever Santorini Black and Sicilian Yellow Land Rover Evoque special edition.
Straight from its launch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and the only car of this specification currently in existence  we met the Motoring Editor of the Scottish Sun, Phil Lanning, to take some photos of this rare and stunning car!

The vehicle is finished in Santorini Black with contrasting Sicilian Yellow door mirrors and roofline, as well as the Black Styling Pack outside, including gloss black 20" alloys, darkened finish headlights, black 'Range Rover' lettering, dark finish to the bumper diffuser and exhaust tips.

The properties are three beautiful waterfront apartments, finished to an incredibly high standard and affording wonderful views over the Blue Lagoon. Prices start at £900,000.

Call Gary at Arlington & Hall today to view these, on 01202 744944.

Sandbanks Tesco - a force for good?

The somewhat infamous Tesco on Banks Road, Sandbanks opened last week, amid a flurry of media interest and headlines.

Interestingly, despite some stern opposition from several sides, two things are immediately noticeable. Firstly, the level and volume of traffic through those glass doors seems to be huge (no doubt partly down to the amount of people on the beach and enjoying this glorious weather). Secondly, now the store has opened, and there is a constant stream of traffic in and out, both on foot and in their cars, the interest and controversy regarding its placement seems to have quietened down.

So what's the verdict? Are people still boycotting the store, or has the initial resistance died down, taken over by people appreciating the convenience of a local facility?

Sandbanks Beach Polo Championships - Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July 2013

This weekend marks the start of the sixth Asahi British Beach Polo Championships - finally, this hot and sunny weather we are enjoying brings with it an event of sporting prowess to remind us what summer should feel like!

The event itself takes place this weekend, and the buzz around Sandbanks in the past few days shows that it is a fixture that is becoming a real part of the Sandbanks calendar.
The gorgeous weather we've been enjoying and the beautiful scenery of the Sandbanks peninsula provides the perfect backdrop to enjoy a weekend of true sporting delight.

Teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales will all compete for the title, with floodlit beach polo tonight (Friday). There will also be Beach Volleyball at the event, and the well-known Sandpolo beach parties provide a great social aspect to the occasion too.
